What is Scrum@Scale Framework?

 Scrum is a software development methodology, and it is described as a framework for team-based software development. It was designed to promote efficient, effective and sustainable software development. Scrum@Scale Framework is a new approach to scaling agile software development using traditional scrum techniques.


A key aspect of this approach is the idea that teams or individuals can be categorized into clusters. In a traditional scrum framework, a team operates under a single scrum master. In a Scrum@Scale framework, teams may be organized into groups of three, five, or seven people, each under a dedicated scrum master. In recent years, organizations have been endeavoring to transition from a traditional to a more agile approach in running their projects. While agile may not be for everyone, it has become the de-facto approach to team development, especially for new projects. On the whole Scrum@scale framework is a way of applying the Scrum framework to large projects. Its benefits are having large teams of cross-functional specialists, each with a single Scrum Master. Scrum@scale framework is a viable option for any team that is too large to fit into a single Scrum team.


In conclusion, organizations that want to avoid the common pitfalls associated with scaling Agile should continue to keep the following tips in mind:

•  More mature agile teams will be better equipped to scale Agile than those that are new to Agile.

•  Organizations should strive to be as Agile as possible before attempting to scale Agile.

•  While there is no magic formula for scaling Agile, careful planning and the right approach can help the transition go more smoothly and ensure positive teams of any size, there are key roles and responsibilities that all practitioners need to understand. Each practitioner needs to have a thorough understanding of the team, the Scrum framework, and its application to any project. The Scrum@Scale framework also includes a set of roles and responsibilities, which differ from project team to project team.
